11 Eyes

Anime: 11 Eyes
Type: Fantasy, Action, Romance
Episodes: 1-12
My Rating: 8.5 out of 10
My Grade: B+

Looking at the title cover made me want to watch this. It wasn't that great, it wasn't bad. I was satisfied with the series.

The story starts out really well and shows real promise. The main characters are gathered together for the first half of the series. After that the real action starts to begin. The battle scenes are really well done. The storyline is pretty sturdy. The buildup for character development is seen throughout and well laid out. The ending, however, might not be what people expected. Personally, I thought the ending could have been better. Let a tragedy be a tragedy, and a happy ending be a happy one. The end is where I think the authors just twisted up the story a lot. The story is awesome, but the ending just ruins the flow of it.

Basic Story:
Six high school kids are brought into the world of Red Night. There they must fend for their lives against the Black Knights and their army of monsters. The world of Red Night suddenly takes them away and suddenly takes them back. The black moon shines in the eyes of these six children as they try to stay alive. What lies in the world of Red Night? Why are they the ones being dragged into this world? Who is the mysterious girl who is locked within the red crystal pillar?

To Aru Majutsu no Index

Anime: To Aru Majutsu no Index
Type: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Action
Episodes: 1 - 24
My Rating: 9.8 out of 10
My Grade: A+

I managed to get through this anime series during the beginning of my Winter Break and loved it. It's my newest most favorite anime ever. I totally love it! ^0^

This anime starts out with a slow prologue where it introduces the two main characters of the series and how they met. You also get a good look at the story setting and some good info to keep in mind. Unlike most long prologues, this one builds up a good storyline and also brings the audience into interest. Throughout the series, you will see the author's hard work and research done for this series. There are many references used throughout from religion and science. The battles are well constructed and calls for a more tactical planning rather than sheer brute force, which makes the battles a bit more realistic. (Eat Your Heart Out DBZ!) The storyline, overall, flows very smoothly and is very understandable, though you might need to go over some concepts that are explained in the anime. The storyline is full of twists and surprises that you might not expect and keeps you wondering. I love this series! I highly recommend it!

Basic Story:
This story takes place in the advanced scientific city, Academy City. Academy City is a place where espers are trained and taught and also a place where technological advancements are discovered. Touma is a high school boy full of misfortune, but his right arm has the power to negate any supernatural power, even a miracle from God. He struggles to fit into life in the city.

One day, Touma finds a nun outside his porch and takes her in. Her name is Index, and she is trying to run away from the world of magic. Touma does not believe her story at first, but after being attacked by two magicians, he knows he has to protect
Index, who possesses the knowledge of 103,000 grimoires of forbidden magical arts. Is his right arm enough to stop the assault of magicians who are after Index?

BONUS! Personal Info:
My Favorite Character: Index, the main heroine/princess. She's a cute, carefree nun. Despite her childlike appearance and attitude, she's really a kind and caring girl under the Name of God. Even though there are times where she "accidentally" breaks the rules or be a bit selfish, she always stands by her friends, no matter what.
My Favorite Scenes: Well, I have to say some of my favorite scenes are when Index has some of her dramatic comedy moments. I also love some of the battles that take place throughout the series. They are just mind-blowing. My most favorite scene would be... (sorry, it's kind of a spoiler -.-)
My Favorite Weaponry/Ability: It's actually hard to choose because of the many abilities that are shown in the series and seeing how each are used so skillfully. But if I had to choose, personally, I would probably choose St. George's Sanctuary, because of its Dragon's Breath ability.

Kanokon

Anime: Kanokon
Type: Romance, Comedy, Drama
Episodes: 1 - 12
My Rating: 9.5 out of 10
My Grade: A

This is the most explicitly sexual anime that is actually not for 18+. I was so surprised throughout the whole anime. If it wasn't for certain censors, it would have been for 18+.

The story starts up like any romance anime. It starts out with their first meeting. After the intro, we skip directly to confession. After that, we end up on a crazy storyline with lots of comedy and sexual themes. It is a guarantee that you will be laughing really hard. Despite all the comic and sexual themes and events that happens throughout the series, they manage to keep a solid storyline in the series. You will realize it when you reach towards the end of the series. I recommend this series if you like erotic or funny series, mostly erotic. ^-^

Basic Story:
Kouta has moved from the countryside to the big city for high school. On the first day of school, he meets a mysterious girl, Chizuru, who is infatuated by him. She soon confesses her feelings for Kouta, but she also accidentally lets out a secret that she has. Kouta is soon dragged into a crazy love adventure with Chizuru. Who is Chizuru exactly? Why does she love Kouta so much? What's the secret she hides from the other students?

(This series is for 17+!)

Kampfer

Anime: Kampfer
Type: Fantasy, Action, Comedy
Episodes: 1 - 12
My Rating: 9 out of 10
My Grade: A-

One of the newest animes to have come out during the year. I have been following it, and it finally finished. It was a great series, and I also hope for 2nd season of it!

This series have a bit of a rough start but also a bit funny as well. It might take you a while to get adjusted to the storyline, but once you do, you will start to like it a lot. This series is filled with lots of great action battle scenes and also a lot of comedy to match up with the action. You meet up with some of the weirdest but very lovable characters in this series. You will also get a big dose of "fan-service". It wouldn't be such a great anime without some great costumes for the characters to wear. This series is enjoyable and will give you action that will keep you in suspense and comedy that will make you laugh to death.

Basic Story:

Natsuru, a normal high school boy, wakes up as a girl one day. He finds out he had become an advanced fighter known as Kampfer. Love Hina

Anime: Love Hina
Type: Romance, Comedy, Drama
Episodes: 1 - 24
My Rating: 9.5 out of 10
My Grade: A

To me, this anime is one of the best classics. It is probably where all new-gen anime took it from. You can probably find a lot of elements in it very similar to some of the new anime coming out now. anyways, I was just watching it again and decided to write a review on it to show some respect for it.

The series start out really hilariously and gives the anime series a cheerful start. Right afterwards, they start to gather the main cast together and kick in some drama with it. Right after that, they start to bring up more colorful characters and also bring up really funny scenarios that the characters go through. Despite their sea of romantic comedy genius, they manage to keep the storyline interesting and not stray too far from the story. They even manage to put drama where it's supposed to be. Overall, it's a very good series to watch.

Basic Story:

Keitaro had made a promise to a girl 15 years ago to make it to Tokyo U college. To this present day, he had failed to get in not only once, but twice. But he is so determined to get in and fulfill his childhood promise. Being broke and jobless, doesn't help his situation, nevertheless. Luckily, his grandmother had decided to make him manager of the Hinata Apartments while she enjoys an around-the-world trip. When he arrives, he finds out that it has become an all-girls dorm. Will the girls accept a man as their manager? What kind of adventures will Keitaro go through? Will he be able to find the girl he made the promise with 15 years ago?

Ef -a Tale of Memories-

Anime: Ef - a Tale of Memories -
Type: School-life, Drama, Romance
Episodes: 1 - 12
My Rating: 9.5 out of 10
My Grade: A

After looking around for another series, I ran across this one. I was a bit pulled in from the beginning then I got addicted to it. I loved the storyline and the characters. It was one unique anime.

The beginning is a bit confusing at first, but it clears up after you get to the 2nd episode. One of the notable things you see throughout this series is their use of unique visual effects throughout the series. They often use this to portray some of the symbolic things they are showing from the series. The story often switches between the pairs of main characters, which makes it a little hard to keep track, but it all will be tied together in the end. The series have a nice little touch of fantasy to it, which gives it a nice feel when you watch it. The storyline is like no other. It really makes a lot of twists and turns and gets you thinking. Their use of symbolism, visual effects, and a very amazing storyline made this a very great anime series.

Basic Story:

Hiro is stuck between his school work and his secret career as a manga artist for a magazine. On a fateful Christmas night, he runs into a girl, Miyako, who takes his bike. After chasing her down, Hiro and Miyako decided just to hang around with each other for the night. The next day, they found out they were went to the same school and were in the same year, just different classes. Kei, a childhood friend of Hiro, starts to feel jealousy in her heart. Who will Hiro choose in the end?

Kyosuke is trying to look for that spark of inspiration in his filming career. He soon finds himself lost until he catches eye of a girl on Christmas night. He tries to get a picture of her but is unable to due to a passing truck. Soon, he finds her at his school and becomes infatuated with her. Will he find that spark of inspiration he longed for or also something more?

While going to an abandoned train station to read his book, Renji runs across a girl who already arrived their. After leaving and returning to the same spot the next day, he gets a chance to sit down with the girl, Chihiro, and befriend her. Unfortunately, Chihiro has a dark secret that explains the reason for her eye patch and the reason she is always there. Will she be able to tell him about this secret? Will he be able to bear the pain of hearing it?

[Note: The series will switch between these three stories and might make it a bit confusing. This series is recommended for audiences age 17+]
