Ask Me About Anime! ^o^

I want to help people find the right anime for them. That's why I made this anime review blog. In this section, I'll do my best to help anyone find the right anime series for them. All you have to do is to ask and also tell me some things, like what's your favorite genre, so that I can find an anime series that's right for you.

In your request, you should have: your favorite genre of anime and (optional) the reason you are trying to find an anime series to watch, whether it be trying finding something interesting to watch or because your just bored.

I will make the best decision I can for you. I can't guarantee that I can find a really good anime series for you every time. I'm not an anime genie. Also, our preferences might differ.

Please give it a try!
I'll do my best to help you find the anime series you're looking for.

[Note: You can also ask me questions about anime in general.
I'll do my best to answer those.]

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun

Anime: To Aru Kagaku no Railgun
Type: Action, Fantasy, Adventure
Episodes: 1 - 24
My Rating: 9.5
My Grade: A+

The side side story to To Aru Majutsu no Index is here! It's a great addition to the To Aru series!

The story centers around a major side character of the main story and happens around the same time the main story is. It gives a whole new viewpoint for the main story and keeps the same suspense and thrill. They even have characters from the main story popping out once in a while to make small appearances in the side story. However, there isn't too much to divert from the side story, and there's also not too little to assure that it's the side story. The side story is a new branch that grows along with the main story. It also helps give a good background for the side characters. If you love To Aru Majustu no Index, you will love To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, even vice-versa, because there isn't any spoilers for the main story in the side story.

Basic Story:

Misaka Mikoto is the renowned "Level 5: Railgun", an esper who has mastered the manipulation of electromagnetic electricity. Along with her roommate, Kuruko, an esper who has teleportation ablities, and her friends, Uiharu and Saten, she explores the everyday lives of Academy City. However, it isn't all fun and games, as they discover a secret plot in the depths of Academy City. What kind of research is hidden within the labs of Academy City? Can they protect the peace of Academy City from destruction?

Baka to Test to Shokanju

Anime: Baka to Test to Shokanju
Type: Action, Fantasy, Comedy
Episodes: 1 - 13 + (2nd season coming soon!)
My Rating: 8.5 out of 10
My Grade: A-

I've that this anime was going to be great. After checking it out, I found it it was.

The story starts out typically. For the first few episodes, they have a serious storyline they follow but later breaks off into a really great comedy series. Jokes are practically on every minute. You'll laugh your guts out after a while. There's not much to say about this series without giving too much away since it was a bit short. I hope for second season to come out soon. Despite its short length for now, this series is guaranteed to be one of your favorites.

Basic Story:

In a school where students battle each other with summoned creatures, the people of Class F, the lowest of all the classes, are tired of being the "idiots" of the school. They decide to wage war against the other classes and hope to climb up the tiers and take over Class A, the smartest of the whole school. The people of Class F wish to show that grades aren't all that matters. Will they succeed in their conquest, or will they be crushed by the other classes?

To Love Ru

Anime: To Love Ru
Type: Romance, Comedy, Adventure
Episodes: 1 - 26 + an OVA series
My Rating: 9 out of 10
My Grade: A-

I was looking for a good romantic comedy and had a good feeling when I saw the opening for this. I practically started to fall in love with this anime! ^-^

This anime starts out like an average love story. After going through the first half of the first episode, things start taking a sudden twist. The love story turns into a wild adventure for love. The comedy displayed in this anime is very top notch and is guaranteed to make you laugh right out of your seats. It also offers great fan-service. Despite the many comic sequences and flashes of fan-service, the series has a straight storyline that keeps everything in order. It's a great series to watch and very enjoyable.

Basic Story:

Yuuki Rito has yet to confess his love for his classmate, Haruna. After failing to confess his love again, Rito comes home disappointed. Suddenly, while taking a bath, an alien princess, Lala, appears before him, and he is suddenly engaged to the care-free space princess. However, forces from space try to sever the engagement between the two. Can Rito get out of his situation, or will he end up a target for the whole galaxy?

Anime: Tayutama: Kiss on my Deity
Type: Fantasy, Comedy, Drama, Romance
Episodes: 1 - 12
My Rating: 8.5 out of 10
My Grade: B+

After going around to find another series to watch, I found this one. I was happy when I found it because it was a series I was looking for a while back then. I was glad I was able to get through it. It was a good series to watch.

It has a nice start to the whole series which slowly brings you into the story a bit. They managed to balance comedy with drama throughout the series and use that to help make the series a bit more emotional towards the end. Your heart will jump when you reach the drama-focused parts of the series. You will laugh when you reach the funny parts of the series. You will love this series. It was a good series for a short one. They managed to pack a load of storyline and emotions into the series and make it very enjoyable. I recommend this series for those people who are looking for short series to watch.

Ef - A Tale of Melodies -

Anime: Ef - A Tale of Melodies -
Type: Romance, Drama, Tragedy
Episodes: 1 - 12
My Rating: 10 out of 10
My Grade: A+

The sequel to Ef - A Tale of Memories, a series I did a review on earlier. After waiting for a while, I have finally got down to watching the sequel and ended up loving the series even more. ^-^

Despite it being a sequel to the previous great series, it seems like a series of itself. The story starts out very independent at first, but it does make brief references to the previous story. It also helps wrap up the loose ends left by the first series and answers some mysteries left behind. In this story, it introduces some hidden story lines and reveals how the whole romance epic began and also how it all ends. This sequel answers the unanswered questions of the first story and also completes the series even more. It was truly a great sequel. It made the series even greater than it was before.

Basic Story:

Yu is an honor student, who had been working hard for all his life. Though he had a gift of being an artist, he gave that up to try to reach for the top. He had tragically lost his family in an earthquake many years ago and lived in an orphanage. As he prepared himself for his second year in high school, he runs into a mysterious girl, Yuuko, whom he had known from his times at the orphanage. What will come out of their fated reunion? Will the regrets from the past be resolved?

Mizuki had come over to visit her family for the holidays. After staying over for a while, she finds out the world-renowned violinist, Kuze, lived right next door. They both meet and quickly become friends. Soon, Mizuki falls in love him. However, Kuze hides a deep secret from Mizuki and doesn't want her to find out. What will he do to keep that secret wrapped up in his heart? What will she do when she finds out his secret?

[This series is recommended for ages 17+.]

Hatsukoi Limited

Anime: Hatsukoi Limited
Type: School-life, Comedy, Romance
Episodes: 1 - 12
My Rating: 9 out of 10
My Grade: A-

Well, there's nothing like a nice short romantic comedy to take a nice break from the big series. This one was really enjoyable, and I loved it.

The series start out to be a very funny show but later progresses to being a little serious. This series, unlike most romantic comedy anime, is probably the most realistic. It also introduces a web of love that starts to grow tangled but later resolves itself thoughout the story. The storyline is very well done and is very funny at some parts. Most importantly, many lessons are taught throughout the story. It's a very enjoyable series, though a bit short.

Basic Story:
A group of friends get tangled up into the world of love. It becomes a storm of feelings and emotions between the various couples and among many love situations. Who will end up with who? Are they able to express those feelings that they all hide within their hearts?

...Are you in love now?

Pani Poni Dash

Anime: Pani Poni Dash
Type: Comedy, School Life, Randomness
Episodes: 1 - 26
My Rating: 8 out of 10
My Grade: B

I have to say. I don't really have much to say about this anime really. I took a look at the trailer for it and thought it would be a good break from the usual anime series I watched. I have to say very funny! ^-^ (I had to pause to laugh my guts out.)

The series start out with a bit of a serious storyline to it, but it soon trails off from that after the first episode. The storyline can still be seen in there, but a lot of things cover it up, comic relief, crazy adventures, and, mostly, total randomness. There are a lot of laughs that you will experience after going through this anime. I think more people would enjoy the anime if they understand the little references that are placed all over the series, especially.

Basic Story:
Rebecca Miyamoto is an 11 year-old genius, who has graduated from MIT college in the US. She comes back to Japan in order to pursue a life of teaching. Unfortunately for her, she is not only assigned to a class where all the students are bigger and older than her but also to a crazy school where many different personalities and themes collide. Will she be able to survive school onslaught? Will she be able to be a good teacher despite some of her short-comings? What's with the cat in the soda machine!?
