Hatsukoi Limited

Anime: Hatsukoi Limited
Type: School-life, Comedy, Romance
Episodes: 1 - 12
My Rating: 9 out of 10
My Grade: A-

Well, there's nothing like a nice short romantic comedy to take a nice break from the big series. This one was really enjoyable, and I loved it.

The series start out to be a very funny show but later progresses to being a little serious. This series, unlike most romantic comedy anime, is probably the most realistic. It also introduces a web of love that starts to grow tangled but later resolves itself thoughout the story. The storyline is very well done and is very funny at some parts. Most importantly, many lessons are taught throughout the story. It's a very enjoyable series, though a bit short.

Basic Story:
A group of friends get tangled up into the world of love. It becomes a storm of feelings and emotions between the various couples and among many love situations. Who will end up with who? Are they able to express those feelings that they all hide within their hearts?

...Are you in love now?

Pani Poni Dash

Anime: Pani Poni Dash
Type: Comedy, School Life, Randomness
Episodes: 1 - 26
My Rating: 8 out of 10
My Grade: B

I have to say. I don't really have much to say about this anime really. I took a look at the trailer for it and thought it would be a good break from the usual anime series I watched. I have to say very funny! ^-^ (I had to pause to laugh my guts out.)

The series start out with a bit of a serious storyline to it, but it soon trails off from that after the first episode. The storyline can still be seen in there, but a lot of things cover it up, comic relief, crazy adventures, and, mostly, total randomness. There are a lot of laughs that you will experience after going through this anime. I think more people would enjoy the anime if they understand the little references that are placed all over the series, especially.

Basic Story:
Rebecca Miyamoto is an 11 year-old genius, who has graduated from MIT college in the US. She comes back to Japan in order to pursue a life of teaching. Unfortunately for her, she is not only assigned to a class where all the students are bigger and older than her but also to a crazy school where many different personalities and themes collide. Will she be able to survive school onslaught? Will she be able to be a good teacher despite some of her short-comings? What's with the cat in the soda machine!?

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

Video Game: BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
Type: Fighting, Action, RPG
My Rating: 9.2 out of 10
My Grade: A-

I know this is kind of weird. This is going to be the first and probably only video game review I will do. The reason I chose to review this game is because of its storyline and awesome character designs and illustrations.

Now, I have to warn players that this is a HARDCORE fighting game. It will not be easy, so don't stress out if you are getting picked on in arcade mode or story mode. The controls flow really well but require great precision, speed, and timing. It will be a rough start when getting used to the controls, but you will get used to it. I also want to say don't expect to Distortion Finish your opponents every time. The AI programs are smart. I also want to say don't expect to Astral Finish anyone so easily. It's very hard to pull off. Overall gameplay is fun and exciting, once you get a good grasp of it, and you will start getting addicted to it.

The storylines are really well done. It's the best I've seen from a fighting game. Arcade mode gives you a little look at each character's storyline, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. Story mode expands the story and offers many paths for some characters. Some end up very funny, and some are pertained to the real storyline. You will love the illustrations that they put in story mode. You get to learn a lot more about the character and also unlock a mini series that's very enjoyable to watch. Each character is unique is fighting style and personality, which provides a challenge to master them all and also gives unique outlooks throughout the story.

Basic Story:
Long ago, the Black Beast rose and almost exterminated the human race. The world was saved by six heroes who wielded magic. The heroes helped create Armagus, a combination of magic and technology, and used it to defeat the Black Beast. After the war against the Black Beast, NOL, Novis Orbis Librarium a.k.a. the Library, was created to govern over the use of Armagus. But this cause disruption in society because of their dependence on Armagus. The War of Ikaruga broke out as a result of the oppresion of NOL over them. After the war, NOL gained a harsher grasp on the world of Armagus and punished those who rebelled against them with death.

A few years later, a man by the title, Ragna the Bloodedge, destroyed a branch of their organization as a sign that he was going to take them down. He immediately became the most wanted man with the highest bounty ever placed on his head. Ragna, however, possessed the Armagus known as the "Azure Grimiore". This attracted more than just the officials but also vigilantes and other fighters to not only for the bounty but for possesion of the Armagus he wields.
